Pastor Mac Lee

Pastor Mac A. Lee serves as the Founder and Senior Pastor of Spoken Word Kingdom Center and also a motivational speaker across the Bay Area. He teaches and leads groups of young men and women who are in need of emotional, physical, spiritual and intellectual guidance. When Pastor Lee speaks the word, there is deliverance! Mac is originally from Louisiana - he was born in Independence and raised in Denham Springs by Willie George and the late Shirley Ann Lee. Growing up, he loved reading books, playing sports, and being on the leadership team in school. As a young teenager, Mac told God if he would allow him to finish high school, then he would dedicate his life to God. One day, in the midst of a softball game, Mac was looking up into the clouds to catch a high fly ball and God spoke to him. God spoke to him and said, “Remember, you promised me”. And although Mac missed the ball, he did not miss God’s message. At 18, God filled Mac with the Holy Ghost and he was baptized. When he realized he was seeing things that could not be explained - he knew he was becoming more of a spiritual warrior. The next year, he was called into the ministry at the New Bethel Apolistic COGIC in Denham Springs, under the leadership of Bishop Hulon Lee. Later on, Mac fell on hard times. In 1989, Mac’s former wife walked out, leaving him with two young daughters. He lost his home, his job and his dignity - but he did not leave God. And after all the hardships, he received restoration from God. God gave him his life back and it’s more than he’s ever had before. Mac became an anointed preacher and started preaching in various churches throughout Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and California. In 1994, Mac fell in love with a princess, Kara Denice Williams. The very next year on August 5th, they were married. Today, they are incredibly happy and blessed with three beautiful children - Jared, Kyson and Emmy. Of course, Kara is the rock that holds the family together.

Pastor Kara Lee

Kara serves as the Co-Pastor of Spoken Word Kingdom Center. Also an anointed organist and singer, she continues to bless God’s people with her music ministry. She has helped many Bay Area church groups by ministering to their souls with her beautiful organ playing. Music and family is Kara’s life. Kara’s goal is to talk to God daily so she can help fill God’s Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven. Her prayer is for God to bless, heal and keep her. One of her favorite scriptures is from Psalms 27: “One thing that I desire from the Lord that which I seek after is to inquire in his temple.” Kara Denice Lee is from California - she was born in Berkeley and raised in Richmond by Emma Jean Williams and Bobby Dale Hart. She grew up incredibly talented at singing and playing many instruments - including the saxophone, clarinet, piano and organ. However, the years after high school were rough for Kara. She got stuck with abusive relationships, drugs, alcohol, stealing and many more unsavory things. She tried college but it didn’t work out. She also tried and finished trade school - but became depressed after difficulty finding a job in the field. In April of 1991, Kara looked into the mirror and said to God, “I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. I want to be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. I want to live for you. I want you to help me!”. And later that year in August, Kara was filled with the Holy Ghost and was baptized in December. In 1995, Kara fell in love with the man of her dreams and her best friend, Mac Lee. And for seventeen years they have been married and blessed with three wonderful children - Jared Kyson, and Emmy.
